Welcome to the new website for Pedal and Spoke Santa Cruz! We will try and keep this area updated with shop, village and Santa Cruz related news. This website is complimentary to our shop website, www.pedalandspoke.co.uk, and is designed to focus on the Santa Cruz bikes side of the business. The website is not quite finished yet, but should be continually updated and will hopefully become more comprehensive in the future. 31/08/10 - Good News, Bad News

On the 21st/22nd of August, we held our first ever demo day. It was a really good event with lots of bikes being test ridden, from stupidly light Blur XC's to full on downhill Driver 8's. It was a great atmosphere, and a big thanks to Ben from Santa Cruz UK for bringing the additional bikes and his support throughout the weekend.





On a less positive side, the shop was broken into on Monday the 23rd at about 23.15, and 3 bikes were stolen, 2 Specialized's and our medium white Heckler demo bike. Any information that leads to their whereabouts would be greatfully appreciated and rewarded.

10/08/10 - Santa Cruz Demo Day

We're holding our first ever Santa Cruz demo day(s) on the 21st/22nd of August. Come along and try out models from the entire Santa Cruz range free of charge. We will be operating demo's on a first come, first served basis, so if there is a particular bike you would like to try, please email us first to avoid dissappointment. Other brands in attendance include FiveTen, Syncros, Crank Brothers, Fox Clothing and hopefully more to come. Photo ID will be required, as will a credit/debit card in order to demo any model. 02/08/10 - V10 Custom Build

We've just completed an absolutely stunning V10 custom build!

15/07/10 - We're Back!

We've just got back from a brilliant week out in Alp D'Huez! The riding was fantastic, and really technical, with lots of loose rocks, snow, dusty corners and some mud thrown in as well.


Friday was Megavalanche qualifying day, with both Howard and Jo starting right at the back of the last mens heat. Jo managed to climb from 143rd to 24th to make the main event, but Howard was less fortunate, with a crash early on leaving him without a saddle and a buckled rear wheel, effectively ruining his race, and leaving him in 90th place.
Sunday was race day, and although the course was bathed in sunshine, the heavy snow during the winter made the main track very slushy at the start, leaving most competitors to push the bike through the first few kilometres of snow before the course became rideable. Jo finished the main event in 1h27 and 242nd place, while Howard completed the course in 1h40 and 86th place in MegaAmateurs.

03/07/10 - Megavalanche 2010

We're off to Megavalanche in Alp d'Huez this week! Howard's (at last!) got his Bullit built and Jo has finished tweaking his Nomad. We're both running Fox 36 forks, Cane Creek shocks, Saint cranks, Pure racing seatposts and Maxxis DH tyres. We're both starting near the back in the last qualifying heat, so expect some good headcam footage from the week as we both battle for this years bragging rights!

21/05/10 - Nomad Carbon

We're were lucky enough to be the first dealer in the UK to see the new Nomad Carbon. It is absolutely stunning in the flesh, and the photo's really don't do it justice. This complete build weighed in at 28.5 pounds! Production frames should be available from mid-June, with prices starting at £2499 (Rockshox Monarch) or £2899 (Cane Creek DB).

We're pleased to announce that we are now able to supply Santa Cruz frames/bikes with the excellent Cane Creek/Ohlins rear shock. Just fitted this to my Nomad, and the performance is phenomenally good. More details to follow shortly....
